THE WARRENS OF BRECKLAND - ANNE MASON

Wed 14 Mar 2012, 7.15 for 7.45pm, Haughley Barn

Anne will talk about the history of rabbit warrening in the Breckland area and how these large managed areas have left their mark on the landscape. The talk will look at the Warren Lodges and explore the best surviving examples of these. Anne will also cover the research project she led in 2008 with English Heritage grant funding which has led to a greater understanding of the importance of warrening for the region.

We hope to follow this talk with a visit to look at the warrens in the summer 2012 with Anne.
